Libertine’s Diatribe
One of My favorite things to do, other than chide My cuckolds, is to watch old movies. See MsEvaBliss on you tube. Recently I recorded something completely different. It’s a 45 minute reel from 1965 entitled Perversion for Profit. The title alone enticed Me and but the description even more so as it read “ Diatribe on pornography.” Apparently some are very familiar with it already. The total accumulated views on you tube are well over a million. I can’t resist using it to revisit the topic of fetish and porn, and the serious business of selling sex.
I have always had a fascination with sex in media. Maybe it’s because I was born in 1963- THE era of sexploitation. Sex portrayal in cinema and print has helped Me put in perspective my own personal history and my own sexual development. Playboy magazine especially contributed to My evaluations of why I am the way I am, how I think and what I like. On every issue the signature provocation -entertainment for men- compelled My personal designs not for an equality with men, but for an equilateral opportunity for promiscuous enjoyment. I have led My life in protest not of what Playboy did to liberate sexuality, nor to defend it, but in opposition to the hypocrisy and obfuscation of how the double standard operates to confine and regulate sexual philosophy -what John Money calls One’s sexosophy.
Persecution on the basis of sexuality is an irritant. It can incite one to violence or to milder forms of retaliation toward those who seek to degrade and demean others for their liberal sexual attitudes. The narrow minded conservatism expressed in Perversion for Profit is a minted example. Highly insulting to all persons not family oriented, it forces one to contemplate the worth of predominate sexual attitudes rooted in conservatism. It shows that it must have been difficult in the 60’s to find a comfort zone with all the freedom the freedom of sexuality promised.
Rebelling against conformative normality brings up what is known in existential psychology as normal guilt. Terror management theory explains why. I suppose the anxiety of My express libertinism isn’t great enough for Me to need the buffer of repression. Conformity is obedience and I don’t do well lying or pretending for the sake of posterity. My scientific acumen and character courageousness simply will not permit it. If you have read all of My posts you may see a reaction to the guilt that is routinely shoveled on and dusted off. Fortunately I realize that the guilt I carried over the years for peeping at the nude images at age 5 was all about hating Myself for lusting for them. This confliction would be the underling to My now more prominent (and dominant )secure sexual attitude. In My adolescent years it was used as an excuse to have sex freely. Therein I learned the hard way that freedom to be sexual carried a price for females that it did not for males….that there was something of One’s r e p u t a t i o n to be considered.
Obviously some find it a lot harder than I did to make the necessary adjustments to their sexual development. In spite of My struggle to remain a liberated sexual evocator I present few problems, other than sleazy porn getting in My Fetish and not enough quality Fetish mixing in with My porn. I am pleased that the potentiality of a diverse sexual culture is making strides to overcome. With all I see on the internet, sexual diversity must be winning out somehow against the terror of merely being a represent evil. Evil really does exist, and I attribute that to the dual purpose it serves in hate mongering as well as libertinism.
Like victims of some previous form of organized cultural slavery, the sexually diverse can achieve their place in a progressive society. The stimulus of hate will either be extinguished or put to good use when they no longer reside as the object of unwilling subjugation. What removes a hateful stimulus? A replacement idea. And where does it come from? Advertising. Why? Because it’s all about psychological strategizing and the cultural variation and manipulation of compliance and non compliance.
Could the transgendered eventually be more accepted by removing gender roles and stereotyping in favor of the idea of a sexual plasticity? Sure, but not before there are sitcoms and commercials behind the idea. When there’s money to be made in advertising, then it will be ok to be whatever the fuck you are. I doubt we’ll see the day when women are NOT skanktified Jerry Springer style to bring in more ad bucks or the trannies praised as the hermaphroditic wonder gods of Indian folk lore, but there will be money to promote varied kinky behavior.
Fetish has the potential to be more and more consistently mainstreamed because it’s easy to emulate. Fetish is cool when it makes sex uber sexy and hateful when it’s not cool to be too unconventional. Look at how many spank clips there are on you tube as well as transformation and yes even cuckolding clips too. Statistically it can be shown that this is what people are into- because they are!. Apparently familiarity is breeding familiarity right along with the contempt. People are becoming lax about their taboos because they see others doing the unthinkable, and the unspeakable, first. Emulation is a tenet of social psychology on human behavior and a crucial determinant of all advertising schemes. So I see fetishism becoming more popular in the future to advertise SEX. Eventually it will be used to scale the differences between sex as kinky and more prurient acts of sexual activity. But I pose a forewarning. As much as fetishism is an attention grabber, it is a cover up for sexual inadequacy and it can be a lure for hatred. The real threat the sex act ingrains in the culturally damaged slave is this: that he is powerless to resist sexual urges and much less powerful to challenge them. Intimate knowledge of the body embarrasses this slave (buffering) and the anxiety it provokes is catchy. Sex guilt then manifests and is born of a contagion that humans choose to inoculate with hatred of the self or other for engaging in the unthinkable. And yes it begins with the youth, as early as 5 years of age. Here’s why.
I enlightened you to Becker’s take on idolatric transference last time. Here’s what he has to say about the hate kind on page 144 in The Denial of Death:
“Hate transference…it helps us to fix ourselves in the world, to create a target for our own feelings even though the feelings are destructive. We can establish our basic footing with hate as well as by submission….hate enlivens us more, which is why we see more intense hate in the weaker ego states. The only thing is that hate, too, blows the other person up larger that he deserves.”
Now take a look at this clip from the good Baptist minister’s granddaughter. LINK Look at this most pathetic slavish creature mocking and deriding the celebrity yet praising her with caustic venom. All of this is staged to defend the beliefs she’s formulated- beliefs which serve to protect against the threats to her personality- namely hyper sexuality which is the opposite of her own hypo sexuality. Remember the discussion that included Reaction Formation from Mermaid ? Read the above quote again and then we can that see she ascribes to the same twisted ethic as hate mongering suicide bombers and nazi loving skinheads. I think it’s safe to say that the stand this young person is taking, on behalf of “decency,” is something the makers of Perversion for Profit would applaud.
Conservatism uses the first amendment to posture its own double standard. Is it sheer irony that their message, modern or otherwise, is protected by the same freedom of speech that enables profitable perversion to exist and religious dogmas to profit? At least the irony makes it comical though. In all things humorous there is terrifying truth. Beneath the anxiety of terror there is stupidity and that is really just funny fear or terror generated irony. Right now I see Myself with a show like The Colbert Report. I expose idiocies like I presented here. And yes I wear all that rubba and leatha and the like and I hear Vincent Price laughing and Guns and Roses singing the acoustic version of ”your fuckin crazy.”
